As the Chief Sustainability Officer for Waste Management, Tara Hemmer is responsible for growing sustainable service offerings, including recycling, renewable energy and organics. In addition, she oversees all environmental, social impact and governance initiatives.

She was previously Senior Vice President, Field Operations for the southern part of North America, including oversight of collection, disposal, recycling and landfills. Tara graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
