COVID 19 Policy

We anticipate that the situation around COVID will continue to evolve, and we will respond accordingly. We will communicate updates through this page.

What is the EVF COVID-19 Policy?

The safety of our guests, speakers and staff is our first priority. Therefore, the European Venture Forum will require that all attendees – guests, speakers etc. – are fully vaccinated.

We align with the Swiss standards around domestic and foreign nationals

What are approved vaccines for travel to Switzerland?

The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health has set up a portal which spells out the requirements based on your residence, prior travel, and vaccination status. Check out travelcheck.admin.ch/check

Full details and current requirements can be found here:

Are there any special forms required for travel to Switzerland, if you are from outside the EU / Schengen area?

Yes.  A travel certificate is required by the Swiss Office for Public Health for all visitors, by train or plane or car.  It is quite detailed (e.g. it asks for seat assignments on flights), so we recommend you take a few moments to prepare before arrival.

Please note that participants from the UK will be required to fill in the form.

The entry form can be found here:

https://swissplf.admin.ch/formular

Will masks be required?

Currently we do not anticipate requiring masks for attendance during the EVF or the dinner, however, individuals are of course welcome to wear masks and the SwissRe Centre for Global Dialogue will have masks available on site.

Will there be additional security during the conference?

There will be additional staff at registration to review COVID vaccine documentation before distributing EVF badges.  Throughout the venues, staff will check badges and confirm with photo ID before entering or re-entering.

Please be sure to have your badge and photo ID with you at all times

What are the processes at the venues?

We’re working with our venues, the SwissRe Centre for Global Dialogue and Kaufleuten, on strict protocols to protect our participants in line with local and international advice. Those will include restricted access, cleaning, air circulation, masks for their staff, etc. Today, admittance would require approved vaccination, proof of recovery, or approved and timely testing. We’ll continue to share detailed health and safety information before the event.

What are the current policies around travel to Switzerland?

Will my vaccine be accepted for travel to Switzerland?

The Swiss portal travelcheck.admin.ch/check outlines which vaccines are, and are not, currently accepted for travel into Switzerland.

Will there be contact tracing?

We will, with SwissRe, support contact tracing if needed. Your data will continue to be held by the European Venture Forum, under all applicable Swiss and European data privacy regulations. We will request that all participants respond to a quick questionnaire a week after the EVF if they have any evidence of COVID symptoms and share that information on an anonymized basis with all attendees.

Other questions?

If you have other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask and we’ll do our best to answer. Email us at organizer@europeanventurefair.com
